Well, that was a real blast! A record 1,050 swimmers ran, trotted, walked, hobbled to the sea – a long way at low tide – after a stunning fancy dress parade and one of the best all-together starts. Soup and a bonfire’s warmth awaited their return and, of course, a medal, as below. Well done to all the swimmers, thanks to all our helpers and supporters, including bucket collectors, sponsors and the so many contributors to another amazing event. What a way to start the next 50 years!
