The 2013 Charities

Skanda Vale Hospice

- Skanda Vale Hospice is an independent, 100% voluntary day care centre, offering loving care, respite and complementary therapy to anyone with a life threatening illness, completely free of charge. 100% of your sponsorship money will help Skanda Vale build a new six bedroom inpatient unit so families can stay overnight. It is planned to start building this summer.

The Rudy Trust

-The Rudy Trust has been set up up to help little Rudy cole, born with a genetic condition and who needs therapies difficult to access on the NHS to improve his quality of life.

The Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) Charity

-The EDS charity has been chosen by the TSSA because the rare and and incurable genetic condition affects the life of 18-year-old local girl Beth Morse, whose uncle, Dai Roberts, organises Tenby’s sister swim in the USA.

The District Brownies Centenary Appeal

-The Brownies appeal will help youngsters in the Tenby, Saundersfoot, Penally and Narberth areas to join in the centenary celebrations of the organisation.

Swimmers can also collect for their own charities and good causes.
