The Mayor of Pembroke, Councillor Keith Nicholas will be discarding his mayoral robes to lead a group of intrepid (foolhardy) swimmers representing Pembroke Town Council at this year’s Tenby’s Boxing Day Swim. The group will be raising funds for the Mayor of Pembroke’s Charities, Help for Heroes and Stackpole Mencap Gardens.
The group of twelve will also include fellow councillors, staff and family members and to commemorate the event a special T shirt has been designed.
Councillor Nicholas commented ‘The support we’ve received from the public has been absolutely fantastic and we’re all looking forward to taking part in the 40th Boxing Day Swim’.
If anyone wishes to sponsor the group, please contact Hugh Colley at Pembroke Town Council (01646 683092)

I came all the way from Texas to Tenby to spend Christmas with my family. We took part in our first boxing day swim in memory of my grandma Joan Henderson. We raised £140 for the Tenby Lifeboat. What a great event. Very impressed with the organization of it all! Was freezing, but nothing the soup and bonfire couldn't fix.
